Time Pact Terms of Service

Effective date: August 6, 2026

These terms are the deal between you and DFM Studio LLC ("we", "us") for using the Time Pact app. They're written to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: pay for the subscription through your app store, use the app for yourself, and remember that Time Pact is a commitment device you operate — both sides of every pact are you.

Using Time Pact

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use Time Pact on devices you own, for your own use, under these terms and the terms of the store you got it from (Google Play or, later, the App Store). Don't resell it, don't try to break, copy, or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law expressly allows, and don't use it to harm anyone.

Your subscription

Time Pact is sold as an auto-renewing yearly subscription with a free trial, purchased and billed entirely through Google Play or the App Store. The exact price and trial length are shown in the store before you confirm — the store receipt, not this page, is authoritative.

• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You cancel in the store's subscription settings (for example Google Play → Payments & subscriptions), not in the app — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by the store under the store's refund policies. We can't see your payment details and can't charge or refund you directly.

Your data is yours

Time Pact has no accounts, and your data stays on your device — see the privacy policy for the complete picture, including the only three ways data ever leaves your phone (each one started by you). You can export your data any time from Settings, and delete all of it in place. If you stop subscribing, your data remains on your device; the app simply returns to the paywall.

What Time Pact is — and isn't

Time Pact is a self-management tool: it keeps the pacts you make with yourself honest by tracking earned time and, if you opt in, holding the door on apps you chose to block. It never pretends to verify you, and you can always pause a pact, revoke a permission, or uninstall the app. That is by design — which also means we make no promise about outcomes. Time Pact is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice or treatment, and it isn't a parental-control or surveillance product. If screen use is causing you serious distress, please talk to a professional rather than an app.

Provided "as is"

Time Pact is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising out of the app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending things

You can stop using Time Pact at any time — cancel the subscription in the store and uninstall. We may suspend or end the license if you materially break these terms. The sections on data, disclaimers, and liability survive either way.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version is published at this address with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the state and federal courts located in Georgia.
